Costs & Fees

First Person Photography photographs capture the essence of you and your life instead of trying to fit your images into a certain look or style. Each photo shoot is a custom project rather than a one-size-fits-all package. What follows are some examples of options and the costs associated with them. We hope that they give you a sense of the range of possibilities so that you get a fairly good idea of what options will work best for you and your budget.

Before the shoot, the photographer will meet with you to discuss what you are looking for and your budget requirements. You will receive an estimate in writing by email before the shoot; an invoice will be sent to you after the shoot has taken place. Final costs will reflect actual time, materials, processing, and post-production editing, but will generally remain very close to the estimated cost. Fees include onsite photography, film processing, and digital copies of professionally edited pictures suitable for printing at any size up to 5x7.

    Birth Photography

Pricing for birth photography is a bit more complicated on account of all the variables and possibilities. Scheduled deliveries obviously give us something to plan more concretely, but it is also possible to have the photographer on call to meet you at whatever stage of the experience you would like to document. Some examples:

    • One hour of photography just after the baby is born at the hospital, birth center, or home, $300. This includes at least 50 photographs in digital format.
    • The entirety of the birth experience, beginning with the trip to the hospital, through delivery and recovery, and the first time your gathered family and friends meet your new arrival, $600-$1200. This would likely include at least 100 photographs in digital format.

    Family Photography

A half-day of photography at your home or location of choice begins at $950. This includes at least 100 photographs in digital format.

      Wedding Photography

Packages begin at $2300. The following examples show the range of services available and their cost.

      • The Demi-Package: A half day of photography (about three hours) and at least 150 photographs in digital format. Cost: from $2300
      • The Full Package: A full day of photography (about six hours) and at least 300 photographs in digital format. Cost: from $3500
      • Plus One: Add to any package one pre- or post-wedding event such as the rehearsal dinner, getting the marriage license, or leaving for the honeymoon (about two hours). Cost: $600
      • Add-on Options: A wedding book containing edited photographs of your choice, $250 Enlargements, Resin-coated or fiber-based $150-350 (note: prints larger than 8x12 may incur additional cost)
